ALLIANCES
Strength in numbers — up to 3 countries, on-chain alliances
How Alliances Work
A country's president can create an alliance on-chain via the CountryFactory contract. Alliances support up to 3 member countries. Only the president (top token holder including staked balance) of a country can manage alliance membership.
Invite / Accept Flow
- The president of a country creates an alliance (on-chain transaction)
- The alliance creator invites another country's president
- The invited country's president accepts the invite to join
- Repeat to invite a third country (max 3 members total)
- Any member's president can leave the alliance at any time
Note: Invites have a cooldown period. Leaving also has a cooldown before re-joining is possible.
Nuke Voting in Alliances
When the top alliance by combined market cap holds the nuke-launch privilege:
- Each member's president votes on a target country
- Votes are weighted by each member's market cap share in the alliance
- A target must receive >50% weight to be selected
- If no consensus is reached, no nuke fires for that epoch
- Alliances cannot nuke a member country
Visual Indicators
- Allied countries display a golden border on the globe
- Alliance info appears in the country panel and leaderboard entries
- The top alliance is highlighted in the nuke countdown indicator
Disbanding
An alliance is disbanded when all members leave or the alliance drops below 1 member. Once disbanded, a new alliance must be created from scratch. Disbanding is irreversible.
